English
After learning about the natural cue ball path, you should advance to Cue ball English. As I said that you don't need to use a lot of english to play this game, but a good knowledge of use of English certainly enhance your game.
Study the above figure and apply it on the cue ball during practice.
You will need to put a good number of hours to get a good grip on cue ball control during utilizing the English.
With English, sometimes you can make the cue ball run faster or sometimes run slower or even stop the cue ball after the contact with an object ball.
Sorry, no examples here as I highly recomend you to learn these different English shots under someone's guidance on a pool table.
