I am assuming that you do play somewhat pool or have played. Now, you are looking to improve your game.
Practice shooting a straight shot in a corner pocket.
Setup the shot as shown above. Try to keep the cue ball to the right hand side close to the right rail. Try to shoot as many shots without missing one. In starting, you could try to shoot all the balls in a minimum time. Later try to shoot at least 5 shots without missing one. Finally, you should be shooting at least 10 shots without missing one.
Repeat it for other corner pocket too. In that case, try to keep the cue ball to the left hand side close to the left rail.
One can do it with stop shot or with litle drift.
Later on after mastering the shot, try to draw straight back. If you can draw straight back to the pocket, you are on your way to mastering the game : ).
