Poker Lesson 3
Starting Poker Hands.
For a Beginner, my advice to stick with these following starting hands:
AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, 99, AK, AQ, AJ suited, AT suited, KQ suited and KJ suited.
You should play these hands with a raise (at least 3 times the big blind).
If there is already a raise before action gets to you, apply these followig strategies:
01. With AA or KK, re-raise all-in.
02. With QQ or JJ, re-raise the raiser 2 or 3 times. If the raiser pushes all-in, fold.
03. With rest of the hands, call the raiser and play smartly : ).
If you get down to about 4 to 5 times of the big blind, push all-in on any pocket pairs AA to 77, AK, AQ, AJ, AT, Ax or Kx suited (x means any card).
If you left less than 4 times of the big blind, push all-in with any pocket pairs, Ax (x means any card), KQ to K9, QJ to Q8, JT to J7, T9 to T6, 98 to 95, 87 to 84, 76 to 74.
Hopefully, this start-up strategies will give you somewhat a good start in this complex game. You might have heard and if not, will hear this that it takes minutes to learn this game but life time to master it.
Have fun.
