Poker Lesson 2

Poker Hands.

You should remember all the poker hands before you play the game. I am listing them starting from the lowest hand.

01. High card: A hand with no pair but just with a high hand, such as, Ace high or Queen high, ect.

02. One pair: A hand with a pair. For example, you could have 8h (8 of heart) and 5s (5 of spade) and board has Ac 8d 2s 7h 9c. You have a pair of 8s.

03. Two pairs: A hand with two pairs. For example, you could have Ah Jc and board has Ad 7c 3s Jh 9c. You have two pairs of AJ.

04. Three of kind: A hand with three same value card. For example, you could have 5h 7d and board has 5c Ad 10h 5s 6h. You have three of kind of 5s.

05. Straight. A hand with sequence of 5 cards. For example, you have 8c 9h and board has 7d 2h 10s 5c Js. You have a straight (7 to J). A to 5 is the lowest straight and 10 to A is the highest straight.

06. Flush. A hand with same suits of 5 cards. For example, you have Ad 7d and board has Qd 9s 3d 5h Kd. You have a flush of diamonds. Again there could be a small flush or higher flush depending whose is holding the highest flush card, such as, an ace high flush.

07. Full House. A hand with combination of a three of kind and two pairs. For example, you have 8d 8s and board has 8c Ad 2h 9s 2s. You have a full house 8s full of 2s.

08. Four of kind. A hand with four same value cards. For example, you have Js Jh and board has Jc Ad 10s Kh Jd. You have a four of kind of Js.

09. Straight flush. As the name indicates that a hand with a straight and flush. For example, you have Ad Qd and board has Kd 10d 9s 7s Jd. You have a straight flush 10d Jd Qd Kd Ad.

10. Royal flush. It is the bigest straight flush hand as the given example above ; ).
